Diaper and Wipes Collection

DIAPER AND WIPES COLLECTION: It will soon be Mother's Day. On Sunday, May 12th, the Mission Committee is asking the congregation for donations of diapers and wipes. As you know we partner with Wellmore Behavioral Health of Waterbury to help families in need. A box will be in Fellowship Hall to collect donations until Sunday, May 12th. Thank you for supporting this project.

October 5th - 9/11 Memorial Museum Trip

NEW YORK TRIP to the 9/11 Memorial Museum on Saturday, October 5th Cost: $65-members and friends of First Church/$115-members of the community. Bus departs at 8AM from the church parking lot and returns approximately at 7:30PM. Trip will include: World One Observatory, the 9/11 Museum and the Memorial. Lunch is on your own at Brookfield Place. (There is a moderate amount of walking on this trip.) For reservations call the Church Office at 860-274-6737. Checks are payable to Women's Fellowship and the deadline for payment is August 1st. No refunds unless a substitute is provided.

Chocolate Experience at Fascia's Chocolates

SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday May 7th! A CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE at Fascia's Chocolates in Waterbury, sponsored by the Women's Fellowship. The hour session includes making your own chocolate bar, chocolate sampling, learning the history of chocolate and how Fascia's transforms chocolate into wonderful confections!!! This is free to church members, any age, but group size is limited to 36 people. You must sign up for this event by calling the church office or signing up on The deadline is April 30th. Participants will meet in the church parking lot to car pool at 3:30pm and the tour will be from 4pm - 5pm.

The Standing Committee is committed to soliciting help and ideas related to simple, yet effective, fundraising ideas as well as planning a more significant signature event.
