Flower gardens are valuable, and the beauty they offer the world is appreciated. However, we live in a world of spiritually starving people and they can't or won't eat flowers. They want vegetables. Liberating Hope, Michael S. Piazza
The First Congregational Church Vitality Team is looking for a few good families to "adopt a plot", to help plant and maintain our first community garden. We are looking for families to help plant and tend (water and weed) the garden for a week long period during the summer. The vitality team envisions the garden to consist of approximately 10-12 raised beds in the courtyard, consisting of a variety of herbs and vegetables that can be harvested to share in fellowship during the late summer. If you or your family is interested in helping or would consider a monetary donation for our gardening supplies (approx $70 per raised bed), please contact Lauren Dassatti at 203-400-3113 (cell) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
